What are you doing this summer? Do you want to get outside, gain job skills, and have fun while doing it? Montana Conservation Corps (MCC) seeks Montana teens ages 15 to 17 to apply for a four-week, summer, camping experience with our Expedition program. As part of an MCC Expedition, you will live in the outdoors with a group of five other teens while working on projects like building and maintaining trails, tagging fish, planting trees, monitoring streams, and other outdoor work on public lands.

No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn new skills, work hard, and live outside. Each expedition begins with an orientation with your Crew Leaders covering safety, program expectations, and other crucial information. Afterward, you and your crew will take off for a four-week adventure in some of Montana’s wildest places.

Upon completion of the program, you will receive a $200 service award and the President’s Volunteer Service Award (http://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/), a great addition to any job or school application.  You will also be able to add valuable technical, team, and leadership skills. However, the benefits of this unique experience go way beyond adding words on paper! At the end of their service, previous Expedition members noted:

“I can take action in anything,”

“I am more of a leader than I had expected,”

“If I think I can’t keep going, I’m probably good for four more miles,”

“I finally realized how beautiful nature is, how amazing Montana is, and how much I want to protect it.”

Apply today and discover what you’re capable of! We offer two sessions from June 10 to July 5 and from July 15 to August 9 leaving from five different locations (Billings, Bozeman, Helena, Kalispell and Missoula). We accept applications from Montana teens from all across the state, and this program is offered at no cost.  For more information, visit our website at http://www.mtcorps.org or call us at (406) 587-4475.
