We landscape, seed, remove weeds, and build campgrounds, picnic areas and shelters in City, County, State and National Parks throughout Montana. Each year over 35 parks get a helping hand from one of our crews. Our crews are also involved in restoring forest and grasslands burned by fires.
Wildlife Biologist on the Tally Lake Ranger District
Flathead National Forest
After wildfires blow through a forested area, there remains very little coverage for wildlife to find shelter and protection. In order to mitigate the loss of wildlife habitat, land managers often replant burned areas with shrubs and trees. MCC crews have been working with the Wildlife Biologist on the Tally Lake Ranger District (Flathead National Forest) for the last 7 years to replant areas that see hundreds of Mule and Whitetail Deer, as well as Elk and Moose. Most recently, our crews were working in areas affected by the Brush Crk. Fire which burned almost 25,000 acres on the Tally Lake District in 2007.
