Remembering Bridget Perison
Bridget recently graduated from Georgia State University with a BA in Art History. Her dream was to make a difference through her interests in historic preservation. In May of this year, Bridget enthusiastically accepted a position working for Montana Conservation Corps—fulfilling her desire to be part of something larger than herself, while challenging herself physically and mentally in a rewarding vocation. “Bridge” told her Dad in early June that Montana was possibly the most beautiful place she had ever seen—and she was on top of the world—mentally, emotionally, and physically. She ended that discussion saying, “I couldn’t be happier.”
On July 1, 2015, Bridget tragically left this world and started her next journey following a motorcycle accident. Anyone who knew her understood what an incredible human being she was and how she embodied true selflessness. Words cannot express how greatly her presence will be missed. Although her life was cut short, we are comforted in knowing that she lived each day to the fullest and inspired everyone she touched to do the same.
Bridget firmly believed in the work and mission of MCC. Gifts made in her honor will support scholarships and financial assistance to those following in her footsteps. Donations will support MCC corps members who might not otherwise be able to commit to a term of service. Her legacy of service will continue to be fulfilled through others with your support.
