Fall Art Walk - (November) This Downtown Helena, Inc. event brings downtown businesses, local artists, and the Helena community together to experience a variety of art in unique venues. Look for the red, white, and blue windsocks displayed outside each participating business. The Downtown Helena Trolley offers free rides and will run a continuous loop around the participating businesses. There will be food and beverages, live music, and door prizes at select locations.

Farmers Market - (Saturdays, April - December) Helena Farmer's Market has become the Saturday morning event for the local community for over 38 years. Local farmers, crafters, food vendors and others bring their Montana-made products downtown for the local Helena community to see and purchase. Visitors to the Helena area experience the fine produce and other products that are the best of what Helena offers locally.

Last Chance Stampede and Fair - (July)  Parades, rodeos, and a carnival are the typical highlights of this county fair. In recent years, country acts like Trace Atkins have performed to sellout crowds in the fairgrounds. Do you have a guess what kinds of exhibitions and vendors you’ll encounter in this former gold mining hotspot? Good, because we don’t.

Montana Early Music Festival - (April) The Montana Early Music Festival is produced annually by the choral chamber ensemble Musikanten Montana. Four evenings of Baroque music with nationally known guest artists and Montana Early Music Ensembles.

Railroad Fair - (April) The annual Helena Railroad Fair is the largest railroad hobby event in Montana and the Northern Rockies. Railroad hobbyists from around the country gather at the Helena Civic Center for the fair. Each year showcases vendors and exhibitors from the Pacific Northwest, Salt Lake Valley, the Dakotas, Wyoming, and Colorado. The fair features thousands of railroad items to buy, sell, or swap.

Red Ants Pants Music Festival - (July) In addition to music the festival features demonstrations on how to make your own bio diesel, ranch roping, and a crosscut competition. The Red Ants Pants Music Festival is designed to bring people together and raise funds for the Red Ants Pants Foundation. Their non-profit is in support of women’s leadership, working family farms and ranches, and rural communities. Check out the website to see past musical acts and events. This is definitely an event not to be missed.
