As part of your term with Montana Conservation Corps, you're asked to volunteer your time to assist other local community nonprofits. This is a way for you to not only understand the culture of your host city but also allows you to play an active role within the community. HRDC - Human Resource Development Council is a non-profit community action agency dedicated to strengthening the community through innovation and leadership in the areas of Housing, Food & Nutrition, Child & Youth Development, Senior Empowerment, Community Transportation, Home Heating–Energy–Safety, and Community Development.

Gallatin Valley Food Bank - More than 100 volunteers perform all the weekly duties required for the Gallatin County Food Bank to operate. Volunteers range from nine to 85 and do everything from building shelves to distributing hot meals to area residents.

Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter - Heart of the Valley has many volunteer opportunities and a variety of ways you can help homeless pets. Their staff will find a way to match your volunteer role with your interests and skills. The shelter cares for over 2,400 cats and dogs annually – that’s a lot of love to give and the shelter’s volunteers make it possible.

Sacks Thrift Store - Volunteers play a critical role in helping the Sacks Thift Store keep operating costs down, which translates into more funding available for the Help Center and the Sexual Assault Counseling Center. In this way your service not only benefits the Sacks stores, but the entire community. Sacks has plenty of jobs available from sorting through valuable treasures, cleaning and organizing the ever growing pile of clothes, to meeting and greeting customers, or working the register.

Gallatin Valley Land Trust - Gallatin Valley Land Trust is a community land trust, and needs volunteers to achieve private land conservation and community trails goals. Every time you pass by the exceptional open spaces on Bozeman Pass, the rolling farms in the Gallatin Valley, or the meandering East Gallatin River, you are encountering the work of GVLT’s dedicated professional staff and the private landowners who partner with us to permanently conserve their land.

Montana State Parks - Montana State Parks offer volunteer opportunities for individuals of all ages, families with children, as well as service groups and clubs. Whether you can spend an hour, a day or a season, you’re sure to find something to match your interests and help today's visitors and future generations enjoy these special places, too.

Habitat for Humanity - Habitat for Humanity is always looking for skilled and unskilled individuals and groups to partner in the building process. There is always a place for every individual on their work sites.

Montana Raptor Conservation Center - The Montana Raptor Conservation Center provides services for raptors and communities across Montana. Assist with raptor welfare, outreach and education, research, and the keeping the organization sustainable.
