Gavin Wisdom - Regional Director
Gavin is originally from Colorado, where he grew up chasing outdoor adventure on the front range before receiving his BA in English from Fort Lewis College in Durango in 2011. Since then, he has spent several years bouncing back and forth between the cities of Asia and the mountains of Northwest Montana. He has volunteered in Japan “mucking and gutting” (and then rebuilding!) homes following the Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami, and then traveled to Myanmar, where he helped develop human rights education programs and co-instructed study abroad courses.
After eventually settling down in Montana, where Gavin met his wife and adopted two big dogs, he began his journey with the University of Montana’s Social Work program, from which he graduated with his Masters in Social Work in 2021. Immediately following, he worked as an addiction counselor with justice-involved youth. Gavin began working with MCC in the summer of 2023, and is excited to be in a working environment where he finds alignment in his passions for leadership education, mental health, social and environmental justice, and outdoor adventure. Gavin’s idea of a good time usually involves a nice, long mountain run with friends followed by a pile of tasty homemade vegan food!
