Destination Missoula - Missoula's Convention and Tourism Bureau website with lots of great information on events and attractions in the area.

River City Roots Festival - Produced by the Missoula Downtown Association as the community’s signature celebration, the River City Roots Festival has quickly risen to the top of Western Montana’s must-see-list. Recognized as the 2009 Montana Tourism Event of the Year, River City Roots Fest draws more than 15,000 individuals to the heart of downtown Missoula for a variety of fun activities and exceptional music.

Out to Lunch - (July–August) A weekly performing arts festival at Caras Park on the Clark Fork River features musicians and over 20 varied food vendors. Enjoy Montana's longest-running festival every Wednesday from 11am – 2pm.

Missoula Tweed Ride - (October) - This fundraiser features cyclists in vintage clothing leisurely traversing the trails and streets of Missoula. The events ends with a festive party and silent auction held at Free Cycles.

Downtown Tonight - (June–August) - Every Thursday night from 5:30 – 8:30 pm in Caras Park, this concert series offers an outdoor venue for live music, food vendors, and a beverage garden for residents and visitors alike. The event also highlights a weekly family activity and, as always, is freet o attend.

First Friday Gallery Night - (Year-round) - On the first Friday of every month from 5-8 pm, galleries and museums in downtown Missoula host First Friday Gallery Night — an opportunity for all to enjoy new art exhibits, to socialize with artists and gallery owners, and to experience the energy of a lively downtown Missoula evening.

Clark Fork River Market - (May-October) - Every Saturday morning, from 9am - 1 pm, the Clark Fork River Market provides a lively and scenic setting for buying locally-produced fruits and vegetables, meats, poultry, fish, organic dairy products, plants, flowers, and other products from area farmers, ranchers and chefs. Live music adds to the festivities from 11am - 1pm.
