For this project, MCC partnered with the Pinedale Bureau of Land Management to restore Wyoming's riparian wetlands. It was an honor to be able to work on this, a project 8 years in the making.

For the red crew, this has been a bumpy season. After losing a crew lead and several members, we've had to adapt to new plans and work with new leadership. Despite these challenges, the remaining members of red crew have grown into leaders of our own and continued to crush the work.

This hitch's work featured long and hard days under the sun. With the company of the grazing cows and our crewmates, we hauled lots of heavy rock and dug lots of ditches. The grinding nature of the work, however, was balanced with the relaxing solitude of Wyoming's southern desert landscape. The sweeping views and breathtaking sunsets were well worth spending the days hard at work.

This hitch was topped off with a short last day of work where we finished early. The final count of structures built amounted to 34! This included zuni bowls, one rock dam, and rock rundowns, all structures that allowed the land to soak up as much water as possible. Keeping the wetlands wet!
