With this being our fourth hitch together, our bond as a team was strengthened.
During this hitch, we were building a buck and pole fence. This tested our ability to work together as team as well as being able to lead and direct our fellow crew members to make sure the fence posts were aligned together. After a couple days of building the buck and pole fence around the guard station we moved-on to repairing the barbed wire fences around the horse pasture. This tested our patience. For 4 days, half of the crew repaired the H braces while the other half reinforced wiring on the stays of the fence.
Looking back on this hitch, our entire crew realized that we learned how to be patient, as well as how to be better leaders.
