The first month of work has been eventful. My crew has had the opportunity to experience many different hitch types (ranging from 5 to 9 days) and has been fortunate enough to work on many different projects. These projects have included anything from planting and watering trees, to working on fire lines and fuels reduction. One thing that has taken some getting used to is the food. Taking the right amount and types of food for the day, as well as the correct amount of food for different types of hitches has been a learning curve. I am starting to zone-in on the correct amounts. I know, just like everything you do for the first time, it will eventually become second nature.
