EARTHQUAKE! Don’t panic yet, it was just a drill, but if there was an earthquake, rest easy knowing our MCCers would be prepared. At last week’s ServeMontana Symposium in Helena, MT, MCCers had the opportunity to put their disaster relief (and acting) skills to the test by staging an earthquake disaster drill. See how our members responded to a “6.5 magnitude” earthquake.

The disaster drill provided our members a stage upon which to showcase their acting skills, but more importantly, the simulation helped prepare them for future natural disasters. As Ready Montana Community Coordinator Betsy Miller explains, “In case something were to happen in their community or nationwide we just want them to be aware that they have the skills and resources to help others in their communities.”
