MCC’s Central Divide region and the City of Helena are linking up to continue efforts on 6th Ward Garden Park. Work on the five-year project began in May and is really starting to take shape! Volunteers will help lay a living forest floor on the mid-bioswale. The 6th Ward Garden Park’s number one goal is to provide “a healthy, reasonably self-maintaining, consciously designed and managed edible ecosystem that provides safe, beautiful, accessible, and enjoyable places to meet, learn, play, relax, and grow and enjoy food.” Volunteers should meet at 1235 Bozeman east of the HATS terminal in Helena.
