Notes from Salmon Lake

Water has been the recurring theme of the day. It was raining when we left camp this morning, and between the constant on/off rain that followed us we also had two river crossings.

The first one was the hardest, but no one fell in and no one’s toes froze off, but our lips may have turned blue.

The trek out was gorgeous; towering trees and bouquets of flowers greeting us at almost every turn. Even the mosquitoes couldn’t deter the beauty around us.
