So Utah is pretty wild.
The landscape was absolutely beautiful. We did a lot of good work, even with the absence of a rock bar and sledgehammers; I think that trail we worked on for 20 days is much more enjoyable and much less perilous to walk on now.
After twenty-three days of thunderstorms, sweet potatoes, and terrible hygiene, we were all glad when it was finally over, but I have no doubt that everyone in our crew can look back on that period of time with fond memories. I think we all learned a little about ourselves and about each other. We also learned that a crew full of people with equally negative attitudes gets along very well; we were constantly commiserating, and made it through the whole six weeks with almost no storming.
Overall, it was an experience that few people in this society will get, and I think that’s pretty cool.
