Rebuilding For The Future

For our first hitch of the season, GY MCC field crews yellow and purple spent eight days working together to update and enhance the Reunion Flats campground in the Caribou Targhee National Forest. While working with the USFS crew in the Teton Basin district, members and leaders learned many new skills and laughed through all the elements. Our work included building over 30 picnic tables, plate compacting, installing signs, replacing fire rings, and spreading gravel.

“Here we are, all my friends I see. Smiling around this big beautiful tree. Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. In this place, we enjoyed it all. Laugh until we cry, these memories we keep. Now, rest those eyes, and get some sleep!”
