The remote trails of Wyoming have a lot to offer, from moose to bears down to the smallest hummingbird. Wyoming's Dry Fork and Little Horn trails in the Bighorn National Forest have got it all. Wildlife isn't the only thing that this breathtaking land has plenty of. Some of these trails outdate the forest service and have been in use for many years; creeping through forests, meandering through meadows, and wandering over hills. To ensure they can continue to be appreciated, these trails need a little love every now and again.

That is where we come in.

Removing rocks and maintaining the corridor of the trail helps to keep the path safe for its visitors. Though the view is lovely, life here with the Montana Conservation Corps can be unpredictable. But the way we see it, that is just another part of the fun.

Our crew worked through a few broken tools, thunderstorms, a wild moose chase, and a baby bear encounter. The trails were steep and the work could be difficult. Despite it all, we enjoyed ourselves and most importantly we got the job done. Even if we came out of it a few tools less in numbers, the struggle was well worth the reward in our eyes. We hope these trails get the love they deserve and can be appreciated for many more years to come.
