Field Program

Learning New Possibilities

A crew leader and a field coordinator sit on a hillside, smiling.

Working on a forestry crew, we have the opportunity to meet many members of the forest service. We get to talk to project partners and their crews about their experience and background. Hearing about the paths people take to work in forestry opens up new ideas for our own paths. We have even met some MCC alumni working on fire and silviculture crews for the forest service.

The interactions and connections I have made while at MCC have helped me see possibilities both for careers and lifestyles. I enjoy learning where people are from and how they have gotten to where they are now.
