Overview

Autumn is originally from the great lake State of Michigan where she grew up playing outside and fishing on her grandfather's lake. She went to Michigan State University (MSU) on a volleyball scholarship and graduated with a Natural Science degree in 2017. Outside of playing volleyball for the University, she was also a student assistant for her professor's biology class, a Glassen Scholar (as part of the Hal & Jean Glassen Foundation) and she worked with the MSU Extension: Boone & Crockett Club. Soon after graduating, Autumn became the conservation intern for the Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA). Throughout the internship, she learned more about the importance of what hunters do for conservation. She also became a Deer Steward I & II graduate, learning more about deer biology, land & habitat management. After the internship she joined the Barry Conservation District as an Administrator, gaining knowledge on grant-funded programs and the overall operations of a Conservation District. Previous to the move out west, she completed a 10-month service term with the Huron Pines AmeriCorps program (Host Site: Michigan United Conservation Clubs). She traveled the state of Michigan completing multiple restoration projects for both terrestrial and aquatic habitats as well as attended several educational outreach events and worked cooperatively with private landowners. She now joins MCC as the new Missouri River Watershed Program Coordinator with the Healthy Watershed Consortium Initiative. When not working Autumn enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time with her family, friends, fiance, two cats and her pug named p-nut.
